State Association Tournament Health Concern Update

Dear SoCal OotM State Tournament Coaches,

I wanted to touch base with you all regarding health concerns for our March 21st state tournament. The assistant state director and I are monitoring the Coronavirus situation closely and will be taking direction from the CDC, the state of California, and the Moreno Valley Unified School District for any postponement or cancellation of the state tournament. At this time, none of these entities has recommended cancelling or postponing our tournament.

Our host venues will be preparing the buildings for us per their district protocols. We will be providing hand sanitizer at each problem venue and at locations throughout the tournament site. We encourage anyone who has cold or flu symptoms to stay home and not risk spreading their illness to participants and spectators. We also ask that all participants, spectators, and officials practice recommended hygiene as outlined by the CDC.

We will continue to monitor the situation daily and will update you via email should the situation change.

We look forward to seeing you all with your creative teams on March 21st!

Sincerely,
Lynn Larsen
