For the 2025-2026 season, advancement guidelines for regional tournaments to the state tournament:
Up to 8 total teams from each problem/division are eligible to advance. Teams MUST meet SoCal Odyssey of the Mind’s criteria for advancement, including having and presenting a solution and the team must have their required volunteer judges. Volunteer Judges must attend a virtual judges training and judge at each competition the team they represent competes in.
Advancement guidelines for state tournament:
The top two teams that meet all SoCal Odyssey of the Mind’s criteria (including two trained and experienced volunteer judges) from each problem and division will be eligible to advance to Worlds.
