SoCal State Tournament Advancement Guidelines
Advancement Eligibility (Per Problem & Division):
- 1–20 teams: Up to 8 total teams may advance from Qualifying Tournaments.
- More than 20 teams: Advancement numbers will depend on venue capacity and staffing. Final numbers will be announced before the Qualifying Tournaments.
How Teams Advance:
Teams will be selected proportionally from each Qualifying Tournament.
For example:
If most Problem 1, Division 1 (P1D1) teams compete in Qualifying Tournament #1, then more P1D1 teams will advance from QT1 than from QT2.
